Today I received my Aero II from Al. All I can say the watch is awesome, photos in the thread "Just Arrived" in general watch forum.
The whole buying experience was so easy with Al, the whole deal was sorted with just a few email's as I'm UK based & Al is in Canada. Once I'd chosen the watch I wanted & informed Al he gave me a lead time of 6 weeks. This was no problem to me, as each watch is made to order. During the process Al kept me informed with how it was going, then as soon as he'd shipped it he sent over the tracking number.
All I can say is I'd never have second thoughts about ordering another watch from Al.

I completely agree with your thoughts on Al and his watches. Though I purchased mine via Carl I had been contemplating one and Al was so good with communication and information.
The watch is outstanding, the quality way above the price point I feel and add to that this is the most accurate mechanical watch I have ever owned.
I am already thinking of the next one, a vintage.
I love the step by step PDF he encloses with the watch as well. How many folks can say they have a written and pictorial document showing how their watch was made!

He's serviced many of my watches and the detailed PDF photo documentation of the process is superb!

I think I read the account of mine being made once a week. I love that! The other thing I love is that it seems i never have to adjust mine, its so accurate!

I would imagine that your reactions to Al's work is much like mine to Dan's. These guys are true craftsmen. I know Al literally does the work, himself. In Dan's case, he starts with a vision, sources all of the parts he needs to realize that vision, has a master watchmaker assemble them and times and adjust the movements. Dan then personally inspects each one, and pressure tests each one. He purchased a $5,000.00 machine, in order to make sure that no watch goes to a customer, that could fail it's intended purpose, as a true tool dive watch. I greatly admire both of these guys, who have such pride in their work.

Al is and always was a class act. I think I own the [HASH]2 Archer. So early it has no markings.
