Looking at doing a deal for a 1950 men's Oyster and am waiting for some more pics. Appears to have a riveted bracelet on it and it looks tight on a small wrist. I think the current owner who inherited it is under the impression that it is white gold. I think it's SS with a white gold plain bezel. What would you guys and gals estimate it's worth be? Also, how difficult is it to find links for the bracelet? Thanks

Sadly I'm of little to no help here really but someone who knows should be around soon. Not sure how common it is to find the links floating around places like the Vintage Rolex forum etc. The only thing is if the condition matches that of the watch bracelet but this should be no issue. Hopefully you can find out more info soon.

If it is on the original band, and it's in good shape, he is going to want 2 grand, or more. Check ebay for band links. If you do get it, I happen to have a 19 mm stretch rivet band that might fit it. When he sends pics, post them, and we can give you better info.

On advice from Pete, I passed on it. 5 years ago he was told by a jeweler that it was worth $3K, so he was looking for a bit more.

Jewelers always appraise higher than actual resale value. There are a lot of nice vintage Rolexes out there. Here is my 1958 Oyster Perpetual on a stretch rivet band. I also have a regular rivet band for it. It happens to be what I wore all day today:
