That's how we learn. Mine was from Authentic watches, I think. It had the serial number, but the leather card holder was empty. I even called to ask where the cards were and they played dumb, said The distributor didn't always provide them. Since then, all of my new high end pieces have come from ADs. ( high end for MY budget LOL)

Wow, I always assumed it still came with that stuff for some reason. No wonder I'm yet to hear of anyone actually making such a purchase from Costco or whom ever else. Even for half that price I wouldn't want anything to do with it. Nothing beats an AD or buying from well known sellers that provide all documentation.

If the price was right, I would not hesitate from buying a BNIB grey market watch from Costco. They will offer the same warranty as an AD, albeit without a service center. They have a great return policy so if there were any issues during the warranty period, I'd expect they would just take the watch back or that you could possible negotiate a partial refund for the service cost. It's a totally different story with the grey market web-based stores that Kat and Chip mentioned. There, you have no fall back plan.

That is true about Costco, they seem really good about that sort of thing and customer satisfaction. The main thing is it's covered in some way and for the right price under those circumstances I would also consider it. If the watch is likely a keeper it isn't as big of a deal possibly but it is nice having the cards / papers even if they're not filled out. Those online places though seem like a total waste of time based on the previous stories Kat and Chip mentioned alone.
