An investigation was underway following a smash-and-grab robbery Friday evening at a luxury watch store at a Costa Mesa’s South Coast Plaza shopping mall, authorities said.
The incident happened about 8:20 p.m. at Rolex store, where a person or persons shattered a display case, grabbed an unspecified amount of merchandise and fled, a spokeswoman for the Costa Mesa Police Department said.
No shots were fired during the robbery, according to police. No injuries were reported.
Officers responded to the location and were interviewing witnesses.
It was unclear if the incident was captured on surveillance video.

I wish the cops somehow had a way of being at every one of these stores in that area to surprise these idiots when they try to rob one.
