I like that one. To me, I put it in the same category as the B&R WWI trench watch, another piece I like. Different, but the same idea.

I do like the bezel on that hamilton, but prefer the breguet hands on the Tissot. Very similar price point bt two great brands

That Tissot is a beauty! I tried it on a couple of times at the AD. And case made for the size of the ETA movement, which I think was originally made for a pocket watch. I don't know what you call the strap, kind of a NATO, single piece of leather and pretty thin, but suits the watch. I think I would get a sturdier regular leather strap. Love that caseback, and the wonderful ETA movement.
I have been tempted by it many times over the past few months. And they still have it in the display case. I believe the MSRP is $1295CAD, or about $985USD. It is definitely a very nicely built watch, and you could hardly go wrong at that price. I often leave the shop wondering why I didn't get it, but I put that down to the size. Although, I can usually forgive a larger watch like this because it is not superfluously large. It has to be large to accommodate the movement.
And even at that price, I certainly found no compromise in quality.

This is another one I saw at the AD: Alpina KM-710, with in-house automatic movement. We were discussing the origins of this model, and was to do with the German military. Can't remember all the details. It was about $2895CAD MSRP, with the in-house movement. The thing I like about this one and the Tissot is that there is no date window, but the Alpina has the pointer date at 6 o'clock.

Found this pic on Fratellowatches. The original Tissot pocket watch, on which the Heritage model is based. Damn good resemblance, and that font really gets me: mass image upload

I agree about the font, it's nice to hear from someone who has looked at it several times I might just go back to the AD on Saturday, and take another look. With camera in hand this time. The more I look at it online, and some of the wrist shots, the more appealing I find it. Really starting to warm up to that NATO style leather strap as well. In real life, that dial has an almost porcelain look to it. Some might say that the hands would look better if they were blued, like the original. But I can't say that is an issue with me. I find the watch quite attractive just as it is.
