there are very few omegas that i don not like, but came across this gold and titanium day date quartz seamaster. I have seen one of these in real life and thought it was a fake when i first saw it, but realsie that now omega produced this monstrosity..what do others think?

Well, I must say It's not what comes to mind when I think Seamaster. What vintage is that?

I might surprise a lot of readers here ... not that I like this watch , but I feel it very interesting this is from the "Polaris" collection from the 80s the one you are showing us is the day / date version ref number TA 396 1000 , quartz movement caliber 1444 dated 1985 the polaris line was a full line of watches from a simple one to a chronograph and a multifunction watch (with functions very comparable to a Breitling Aerospace) Tastes have changed a lot compared to 20 years ago , but I definitly think it will be a collectible line and think that thoses are interesting watches cheers JM

produced in 1982 with calibre 1420 movement.. hum I am afraid you made a slight mistake on this one : caliber 1420 is a simple date version which indeed powered some polaris but not this specific day/date version which have a 1444 caliber according to my sources cheers JM

Thanks for the correction JM.. checking omega website, you are correct of course! all the best mamas No problem, that was a tricky one, because this model is quiet uncommon and IMO not the best of the Polaris line ... I by far prefer the multifunction one which fits more to the "spirit" of the high tech line cheers JM

Actually I dont think its that bad, a little out dated, but I bet in the 80's that was one cool watch ;D
