As watch afficionados, we know that everything omega does is not perfect.. to apprecaite our watches, we muct also know their limitiations.. shortcomings... what dont you like about omega as a manufacturer... cost? design? ......
i think that the omega line is too broad.. for example i would prefer that in the speedmaster line they concentrated on speedmaster professional and broad arrow line.. and maybe got rid of either the speedy date or speedy day date line. I am also not a fan of all the so called unlimted limited editions they rpoduce.. it detracts from a limited edition being special..and 10.000 pieces uis hardly limited.
what shortcomings do you see of omega? mamas

I dont think there's a problem with the Product, more peoples general perception of the brand and its recognition, how many times to we see comparisons to rolex, but is it a superior product ? or the greater value people put on the brand recognition

....... what dont you like about omega........... I don't have enough of them but to be honest, there are SO many different designs & styles, & I STILL have watches on my wants list & STILL have no money to buy them... Any "complaints" I could air here, would really be nitpicking. Long live free choice & different tastes.

I guess I'm with Steve on this one. I'm not sure there's any problem with the product.
The line may be a little broad compared to some ,but I concentrate on the seamaster line and have been quite pleased.

I love Omega and consider them VERY good watches. But if I had to pick one thing I didn't like I too would also have to say the HE valve should go, if it is necessary it sholud be like the Seadweller, flush into the side of the case. Besides that Omega ROCKS.

I do think it is a good thing and I like the fact that you have different "level" in this range from the entry line with 7750 movements up to top of the range with 33XX movements .... and of course the fact that Omega keep the speedy pro untouched ! we should all thank Omega for that ! so many other brands have altered their "mythical" models (Breitling with their Navitimers far from the intitial 806 , Rolex with their sub not close to the 5513 (my fav sub) ...) No the REAL thing I would love Omega to change is the constellation line ... not any model of the constellation line apreal to me , constellation should come back to the old designs IMO , I think that the "Deville" line should deserve the name of "constellation" , if you are looking to the past , the constellations where the "top of the line" of Omega ... this is over and constellations are IMO only "fashion" watches cheers JM

I agree that the constellation line is far too contemporary from my tastes for mens watches.. dont know what proportion of sales account for constellation sales.. i would rather prefer that they had kept the pie pan constealltion design.. as i think that this would have really sold.. it is a timeless design and i think that omega lacks a nice gold dress watch type line for gentlemen.. most will buy zeniths and JLC's etc.. whereas if omega had stuck with this line instead of the current constellation.. i think that they would have been far more competitive to JLC etc.. in this market sector.. and if you look at omega vinategs they did it better than nearly every other manufacturer in this sector. mamas

The ladies Constellation is definitely a big seller for Omega, but I doubt they sell many of the mens. Some of the DeVilles are "nice gold dress watches".
