Who wants to go to the Bay and put in the first bid? Up for sale is my cousins, nephews, friends wristwatch that he found 2 days ago in the back of a toilet stall in a fancy New York restaurant. It’s an Omega Seamaster “Moonwatch” and I was told by Omega inc. that it’s the actual watch Neil Armstrong wore on the moon back in 1969!! It’s an automatic movement so it moves to the motion of your wrist. I’m not good with cameras but I’ve included the best photo I have of it. Please feel free to ask questions and I’ll try to answer them the best I can but please realize this is not my watch so there are no returns of any kind. Priced at a very reasonable $3600USD (Remember, this is the actual watch worn on the moon). *I will only accept wire transfer*

Funny this should come up. I just finished reading an AUTHORIZED BIOGRAPHY of Neal Armstrong that was recently published titled First Man by James R. Hansen. Great read and very informative for all of us that lived through those times, and anyone interested. Armstrong gave permission to all, including his ex, to speak to the author, so it isn't all roses, but he seems quite a guy. Can't say I blame him for trying to keep a private life. I'm sure there is some sucker out there that will go for that watch, but wouldn't it be great to really own the one he wore on the moon? I would think that NASA or some museum would have it on display.

I would think that NASA or some museum would have it on display. The first watch on the moon was the speedmaster of Buzz Aldrin. Neil Armstrongs did not wear his Speedmaster on his walk on the moon. An instrument had malfunctioned and his Speedmaster was left in the LEM to serve as a replacement : The speedmaster of Buzz was lost in transit in or about 1971 whilst en route to the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum The speedmaster of Neil Armstrong is safely kept in the National Air and Space Museum, Washington DC Cheers Jon
