Saw this on another forum and wonder if it's true. For the Seamaster Professional and Aqua Terra, they've had these renditions "leaked". Time will tell if this is true or not, but it's safe to say we can expect something from Omega in the form of a Limited Edition (we all know how much they love these) or something added to the general product line for a few years. I think it's fantastic and like every Seamaster as it's one of my favorite lines / watches. However, for these newest ones, the conical helium escape valve ruined it for me, otherwise I would own one. To each their own thought, and if anything it's easier to use for the few actually doing so. Either way, as a huge Omega fan for many years, this is an exciting milestone coming up!

Call me weird, but I kind of like the tapered HeV. It makes it less prevalent. I love the look.

Baco Noir Not weird at all! It seems to be a big hit with many, other than the few who felt it would be better if flush with the case or removed entirely. Ome thing I've learned over the years with these changes is that they're actual improvements most of the time and done for a good reason. It's easily one of the best dive watches available in that price range.

I had my SM300 (made by Archer) for quite a while, but itdid not have an escape valve. Absolutely loved it. I just could never get past the external escape valve, but the tapered does look much better to me. If they went with a internal escape valve, I’d probably be all over Seamaster.

Baco Noir Totally understandable, and at this stage of the game it would be nice if they made a flush HEV on at least the Planet Ocean first, as they did with the PloProf. They've already got more variety in the product line than most companies, but I feel it would be unique. Not sure how likely because from a heritage perspective, they seem to be holding onto this for the time being. In all fairness to them, the original design for the current ,"Bond," pieces is from the early 90s, probably 1993. The current model also seems to have no issues with desirability and sales among the masses, so time will tell. Although Omega lost the race so to speak for under water exploration back in the day, the brands heritage in this regard is incredibly abundant.

I agree that as long as the buyers are there for watches with the external HeV, there’s no reason for Omega to change up the design. Similarly, I prefer solid sword hands to the skeleton sword hands they use so often. But that’s just my preference.

June 27 we should be getting more information or an official release from Omega. I'm incredibly fond of these case backs. In fact, for the Seamaster line they're a huge part of the appeal to me given the history.
