Yeah $4.5K CDN seems high but discounts and used pricing could make it more attractive. I’m not a fan of 4:30 date placement but bonus points here because it’s centred between the indices.

I love the vintage Movado. Beautifully executed dial and well balanced with the case size too.

My thoughts exactly, and I was actually a bit shocked at the MSRP. I've seen it happen before with others so I'm remaining hopeful that people will find it attractive enough to buy, get bored of them and trade them in. $2,000 CAD or under and I might be in trouble here. The aforementioned process usually takes a while, of course, at least from what I've been seeing. Maintain dial symmetry is important to many, but a lot dislike that date placement. For me it's a feature I find really useful so might (in theory) be able to sacrifice it, but feel the vintage model had better date window placement. I love the vintage Movado. Beautifully executed dial and well balanced with the case size too. Agreed! In comparison to some vintage Heuer's, Zenith, and other obvious brands with a tremendous history, it's actually a good deal. However, finding one with the bracelet on great shape one must bring their wallet. Over a year ago an eBay seller had a great example, serviced but worn a bit hard, otherwise decent shape but I simply couldn't justify it. Not to mention I tend to baby my vintage watches, even though they can handle the wear, due to no parts availability or in my eyes damaging a piece of history. Life is too short though and we can't take these silly things with us. The acrylic crystal on it must look so stunning in person. I get a sense of that from any images I've seen.
