Damn, that’s stunning. Might be my favorite Speedy now! I get the feeling this watch will be a big hit. I'll have to see one in person eventually but each day I like it more and more. Also, a poll on another forum has many wis' there liking this new model more. I wonder if the reaction from the general public will mirror this, seems possible or even likely.

I do think this will quickly become one of the most popular models. The legibility of black markers/hands on a white dial is off the charts and add in the couple of splashes of red on the dial/second hand and it’s even better. Plus, the case dimensions are great - 42mm wide, 13.2mm thick, and 47.5mm lug-to-lug. Dang, now I really want one, but I don’t need another watch!

Baco Noir You and I both! I've always been missing a Speedmaster in the collection. The Alaska Project was always appreciated by me for the dial and although this is different it's better to me. No need for another watch here either but man oh man, this will fly off the shelves so to speak, indeed. Can't wait to start seeing more pictures of it as people acquire the piece.

I like it, but think I’m gonna get a classic steel sandwich when the time is right.

wario That will be nice! My choose has always been for the sapphire due to the scratch resistance and being able to see the movement.

When I originally saw a pic, it looked to me like the dial was beveled down, reminding me of the old Constellations and I went nuts about it (here, take my money!). I'm not sure that's accurate but looking at other pics I tend to think it may be the crystal's effect. Being priced where a Daytona should be is brings it above my desired spending limit for an Omega.

aerome That's a great point, and it's very difficult to determine this based on the Omega provided images, indeed. I'm all about pre-owned when it comes to Omega. Over the years I've been able to get some great deals and sensible prices. For this piece, as popular as it might end up being, chances are discounts will be small if any and the pre-owned market for a while probably won't be much better. I'm so curious about the dial now to see if it's the crystal making it appear this way.

Available March 26 only from Omega stores. One per customer, $310. I want one of these but it’s going to be hard to get one. No online sales. The nearest stores are on the mainland. Hit and miss what they have in stock and these are going to be popular.

At one point I also wanted a Moonswatch, but the availability issue put me off.
Finally I was downtown Toronto for an event, walked right past the Swatch store and even saw the display for the original releases. Didn't bother going in.

Dallas Swatch seems to have them all in stock every time I go by there. I think I’ll get the mercury version and sell my Jupiter, which I only wore once.
I think it’s mercury. The almost black one, dark gray.
