wario I actually agree with that. This version is true to the roots of the watch, especially in steel. Dial symmetry and other traits are remarkable. Also, for having this in the rotation it will be even easier to set without the date. I guess they used that model so it was more of an apples to apples comparison features wise. I'm a huge fan of the no date piece.

I really miss my Seamaster 300 that Archer built for me (similar to WatchCo). The sword hands, matte dial, great case, plexi crystal, and nice bezel all just really worked together. To me, that is the one Seamaster I’d say that goes toe to toe with the sub. I do love my PO, but the SM300 has that Jacque Cousteau / James Bond era feel that I associate with divers.

Baco Noir That's a legendary Omega diver! I remember when you had that piece, it would be so nice to own one of those. Agreed, as the SM300 is part of history and a direct inspiration to some of Omega's most popular modern watches.

I agree about the SMP. I sold my Omega 2254.5 to buy my sub and truly struggled with that decision. And, I still do.
