Great angle! Do you find the onion crown more difficult to use at all compared to the other style some of the watches in your collection have?

Great angle! Do you find the onion crown more difficult to use at all compared to the other style some of the watches in your collection have? Thank you, Rommel. Your compliments and comments are most appreciated. :-) No, the onion crown on this watch is large and quite easy to manipulate. The smaller onion crown on my Crosswind is not as easy as this one on the Evolution. IMO, the Chronomat Evolution is the best Chronomat Breitling ever made. It utilizes the old V7750 Breitling caliber B13 which is truly a rugged workhorse. I honestly don't need a manufacture movement in an aviator wristwatch when this B13 movement ebauch is upgraded in parts and quality and is COSC certified. Besides, I prefer the 6,9,12 subdial layout over the tri-compax 3,6,9 layout because the prior asthetically balances the crown and pushers IMO. Hope you're doing well and staying safe. :-) Kind Regards, Ron Edit: Gotta agree with the asessment on the smaller crown as on the BlackBird above. It is somewhat of a PITA when trying to screw it down into the locked position.

wario I can imagine, and maybe it's just the image but they crown looks a bit smaller than the one from the Chronomat 44 which was discontinued a few years back. I saw one at the AD years ago and tried it on but never operated the crown. For me the bezel wasn't as useful as my A13340 for water sports with the rider tabs. o2afac67 Thanks, this makes perfect sense! I'm the same way really. Although the B-01 is one of the best Chronograph movements on the market, I prefer the Valjoux 7750 base movements in my Breitling watches as well. So rugged and reliable and the performance is pretty darn good accuracy wise. I too prefer the 12,6,9 subdial layout, this was a golden era for Breitling designs in my opinion.
