I’ll regret it when it shoots back to the 30s and more. I looked at it in today's WRUW thread, and now I know why I bought it. Maybe I’m making a mistake, but I think I’ll be making an even bigger mistake if I trade it off for a Red Sub. I don’t know, call me crazy.

It’s a viscous cycle. I was going back and forth between a DRSD / Red Sub and the modern WG Sub. As watch enthusiasts, I think it;s common to always want to be chasing something. For me, the lack of knowledge of vintage pieces to know is something was authentic or pieced together was a concern, and also I wanted a gold watch to celebrate retirement. The good news, none of these were a bad choice, it’s just what speaks to you at the time.

This makes perfect sense, Steve! The Daytona is certainly a spacial watch, one I would definitely keep in the collection.
This is obviously a win-win situation as Roger points out. And like you've stated, this Daytona was purchased for a reason. The chronograph function can also be fun too operate and of course useful.
