The Antiquorum is known for selling top shelf pieces. Typically the watches have boxes papers and have an amazing documented provenance. In my opinion these prices reflect the very top end of the market and are not the norm for the common variety. In addition to being perfect watches, the market for vintage Rolex, especially Daytonas, is going absolutely bonkers. For example, the SD I purchased this summer is going for about $1.5k more than what I paid for it and I paid dealer prices. The watch below is an example perfect specimen (with everything and essentially new old stock) and it sold for $85K; a new record in the Rolex community.

Very beautiful pieces! Certainly takes the term "collecting" to a level few of us have the ability to sustain. 85K,....That would blow my watch budget for....at least 2 months.

By the way, have you worn the Daytona yet? You said you were going to wear it in December, and not on Christmas. Just wondering?

The Daytona is scheduled to leave the vault next Saturday...that is if I can bring myself to wear it.
