The other day the wife and I were walking around Costco, and of course we had to do our obligatory walk around the watch case I spotted this, and they don't ever carry watch winders at this store, so I figured for $49, I better pick it up. It has intermittent winding, so it's not always going, and it's surprisingly quiet. And, of course, you get the lifetime Costco warranty should it ever fail. I saw something in the documentation saying it's made by Wolf Designs Anyway, here it is:

Interesting...Does it rotate in two different directions Battery powered I assume Rotates one direction. It has both a rechargeable battery and it also plugs into the outlet.

Hey! I did the same thing this morning and saw the same winder. I wasn't sure if $49 was a good price since I don't research them that often. I'll have to take my wife back by to get one. I am not a member but she is... Gives her some control......

Okay, I just got one of these for Christmas. It seems that it runs for about 15 minutes, then stops. There are no directions. Does it start back up after awhile, or is mine broke? Thanks for input.

That's a good question. I think it will run for a while and then stop and "rest" the watch so it's not overwinding. I'll plug it in tonight and experiment and let you know.

Winders will all turn on and off throughout the day to attain the desired "turns per day". Some will turn slower for longer while others will turn faster for less time. For example, my Everwells run for about 20 minutes and then are off for a couple of hours. One of my Orbitas only runs for 2 minutes, then comes back on in about 20 minutes. The end result is about the same.....approximately 700 turns per day.

Nice score. Most of my watches are hand wound but if my Costco gets winders for $50, I'll get one (or two).

Okay, I left one on it awhile. The next morn (it is very quiet by the way) in was sitting differently as if it had turned, so I guess it works. Its just weird that the only time I actually see it rotate is when I turn it on. I guess if it was nosier, I would notice it more. Its better this way. Thanks.
