They're a huge chain with kiosks in malls all over the US. Everyone of these places that I've seen specializes in overpriced battery changes done by people with questionable skills. I bought a strap at a kiosk once because it was on sale. I brought it home and changed it myself because I didn't want the baboon behind the counter handling my watch.
"Proprietary certification process" That just means unqualified in my opinion.

Some years ago I had a battery changed in my Seiko Flightmaster. A real cool chrono that still gets a load of wrist time. The only friggin' scratch on it, after years of wear was one across the whole caseback put in by the idiot who changed the battery. Didn't even flinch when he did it. If I knew then that there was almost no skill to the task, he may have gotten backhanded. Pisses me off just thinking about it.
