Does anyone know what brand his wrist watch is?
I saw a photo of him in an Australian magazine wearing a SS black dial watch on a leather strap.
The crown had two other buttons as well like a chrono, but I couldn't see any mini dials.
I did notice that there was what appeared to be a USSS five point shield on the dial.
Maybe it does a bit more than tell the time?.

I read something about this on another forum. Believe it or not it's a watch assembled in Japan with a Chinese movement. The SS gets them branded by the "maker" and if you're an SS employee, they are $180 in their company store. (If you know a guy you're in). The article went on to say that the maker will label a dial for you with a minimum order of (IIRC) 100 at $300.00 each, or something like that. If I find the article, I'll link it. I think it was on watchuseek.

At first glance, I thought it might be an IWC pilot chrono. Later I read something similar to what Al said. Believe it or not it's a watch assembled in Japan with a Chinese movement. Figures....but I'm not surprised.

It has a movement made in Japan (not a bad thing mind you). It carries the Secret Service emblem and is only sold in the Secret Service gift store. It was given to him by the Service on his birthday, and he wears it for them. I believe the price is around $300 USD (give or take). It's not available to the public. (I might try to make a phone call).

I understand that it's a Jorg Gray watch, with a Myota movement, and is made (the movement at least) is made by Citizen. I suspect that this is in the same vain as "corporate logo" giveaway type items and that you could get this watch with any company logo, etc. on it. And I also believe that the story is true in that the SS presented it to him on his birthday shortly after he received SS protection while still on the campaign trail. Well, I don't know if this is the exact watch, meaning the watch sanctioned by the Secret Service, but at the very least, a facsimile, is available for sale here: www.barackswatch.com/?gclid=CICIxsPYrJgCFQxKGgodF3-0nA-Ben

It's not the same watch. The star logo is not the real SS logo. Here is a lot of very detailed information on his SS watch and what other watches he has worn.... www.onthedash.com/docs/obama.htmlThere is a shot of what the real logo looks like down the page at that link. BTW the fact I have this link in no way means I am interested in any of this. It's just been posted about so many other times on various forums it's sort of hard to miss seeing this information. I'm just glad the whole inauguration thing is over so I don't see news about it every time I turn on the TV (and this would apply to any inaguration no matter what party or colour the incoming president is). Cheers, Al

The logo may be different, but it is indeed the exact same watch - Jorg Gray 6500 series with the Myota quartz movement. And as I mentioned, I suspect that this watch is used for corporate giveaways and such and that you can order it with whatever logo you want on it - as the seller at the site I posted clearly has done.

Thanks guys for the information. He writes left handed yet wears the watch on the left wrist. Many lefties wear their watch on the right.
Is there is a site somewhere that this info can be added to?
World leaders watches?
Vlad Putin wears Patek & a few others. Ehud Olmert has a Breitling Aerospace former Brit PM Blair a Rolex Submariner Rudd a Seiko, I think
