Sooo I bought a 210 last November and whilst I really did like the watch, found it reasonably comfortable to wear, it spent 90% of its time in my watch box! I'd wake up in the morning, look at it go 'thats cool' but always wanted to wear something else. So my used watch dealer Chris, offered me a great price for the 210 so I sold it and the 16570 in one go! Walked out with $8000 cash in my hand and headed STRAIGHT to my Panerai AD The Hour Glass. I bought a PAM048 at 10% discount. I've worn it every second of the day since I got it 2.5 weeks ago. Keep looking at it and thinking 'now thats awesome' I check the time all the time, I have the date on it and when I move my wrist suddenly I feel like the little watch is ALIVE! I should have followed my very first instincts back in 2006 and just gotten the 40mm PAM then. Oh well, maybe I needed to experience all these other pieces to get to where I am now. Wanna see a pic? Course you do! For the first time in a long time, I found myself not searching for the next one and actually feel content with what I have! The new strap changing system is great, really stops u scruffing up the lugs! I'm a happy camper

I'm glad to hear it Amanda. The 40mm PAMs are great....nothing wrong with the smaller size. It just goes to show that you should never buy a watch based on other people's opinions. That strap looks great on there, too....the color is very nice! That's not the strap you were telling me about, is it? I've done a little "shuffling" around in my collection this month too & am much happier with the current collection. A couple more, and I might just have found that "WIS peace" you refer to. ;D

Thanks guys.
Sam that's the OEM that it comes on. It's even a little narrow bw the lugs!
Panerai's bring out passion in people that's for sure, it's hard not to get caught up in the hype of the risti and their love for history of the brand.
Screw the history - I prefer the little watch!
One of my risti friends just got a chronozilla. You should see our 2 pams together, mine looks positively CUTE next to it!!!

Congrats, Amanda. Your PAM looks great, and finding some WIS peace is something I think we all strive for.
Best, Bill
