Greetings folks, Well, as some folks might know, I can be a bit of a stickler when it comes to watch accuracy. [Al - no smart a** comments ]. I like to know what time it is - within a few seconds of an atomic clock for some reason. I'm willing to admit that I might need medication. But that said, I have to take a second to brag about my Glashütte Original Sport Evolution. I've had it now for about 16 months, so I guess it's had a proper "breaking in" period. And broken in she is! Over the course of a week, where it gets probably 4 days on the wrist and 3 days on a winder (with no hand-winding at all over the week), the accuracy is currently running +2 seconds per week. Yes, +2 per WEEK! I don't think you could ask more than that from any mechanical at any price. So let's hear some other accuracy stories. Am I the only one anal about accuracy? -Ben

The only watch I was ever anal retentive about for accuracy was my Rolex ExpII. Gotta say, it was a daily for over two years, then sat in the box for over a year before I sold it....
WHen I wore it daily, it consistently ran at +1.5/day, and it did everything from swimming, cycling, yard work to black tie. Impressive accuracy for sure.

I used to be that way, but then I got help and am doing much better now. ;D I don't even pay attention anymore.....life is much simpler that way.

Owning a Panerai cured me from my accuracy anal retentiveness. LOL Having a second hand that doesn't really show accurately the seconds (or no second hand at all)... will do that. LOL

I wouldnt have a clue how accurate my 48 is. In fact I noticed it was about 5mins slow. I thought about checking it against the clock I set it against, then realised I couldnt remember what I had set it against. Bleh who cares. It looks good! rofl

That GO's very nice Ben. Glad you're enjoying it. I'm freakish about accuracy too. My best performer has to be the GMT Blanc from September 2005. It would literally zero out at the close of each week. OK I may have tweaked its' best overnight positions but it still did the job and you couldn't ask better than that Just a quick note about the watch way back then. Sam may remember helping me set the GMT hand. I hadn't a clue what to do and was too embarrassed to post a direct question in the forum but he picked up my predicament in discussion. Thanks again Sam. Then there was this Blue AT which following some remedial work by Omega was returned a +/- 0.10 to 0.15 sec daily runner I'm mighty pleased about that too Have a good week everyone Houston

My AquaTerra chronograph tends to stay within plus 4 seconds per week or so.
The SpringDrive... I honestly think it's around 1 or 2 seconds per year, worst case scenario.

Don't play this anymore, either, good way to go nuts. You want accuracy, buy quartz. Otherwise, just enjoy the 17th century technology on your wrist.

My most accurate is the Breitling B-1 SuperQuartz - +4sec / annum. Otherwise - I check the time most mornings if I am caching the traing, with my atomic synch'd clock - usually only have to adjust every week if wearing a mechanical..
