I don't have the watch but that's not a difficult thing to fix for a decent watchmaker. Certainly lining up chronograph hands requires care, but isn't really difficult if you know what you are doing. In this case the central chrono hand would have to be removed, along with the minute register hand. Then the minute hand goes on first, then the central chronograph hand.
The reason for this is that you have to press the reset button on the chronograph (with the movement in a holder designed for this work) while pressing the hand on, and if you don't remove the central recorder hand, it would be in the way.
Has this moved over time, or always been this way? If it's moved, then you may need a new hand as it could be loose on the post. If it was always this way it could be removed and reset likely.
Hope this helps.
Cheers, Al

I'd say take it back and have them fix it or get a new watch.

No - if the hand was on properly it should not have moved. Chronograph hands have to be on very tight so either it was loose (not your doing) or not aligned proerly (again not your doing).
Glad they replaced it.
Cheers, Al
