I am new to this site and hoping somebody can help. I am thinking of buying a new watch, I currently own two Omegas and a Tag, but was thinking of going for a British company that I have heard make great watches at a fraction of the price.
I was hoping somebody could let me know of their experience of Christpoher Ward watches - the reviews on their website certainly look good, but I was hoping to get some impartial third party feedback.
Thanks, Iain Farr, Vancouver

Hello Iain, Welcome to the forum! Good to have another Canadian on here - there are a couple of us already. CW watches are well known for being a good value. I haven't owned one myself, but I've not heard anything bad about them. They appear to use mainly ETA mechanical movements and Ronda quartz. It looks like a couple of models use Sellita mechanical movements, which are Swiss made clones of the ETA movements. Based on their tolerances for timekeeping, it looks like they are using the most basic grade of ETA movements. Of course if you were interested in a Canadian company, I do produce my own line of watches (Archer Watches). If you would like to see some of the watches and some service work I've done, you can visit my blog. No pressure of course, just suggesting an option. archerwatches.wordpress.com/Cheers, Al
