Looking for a new watch (advice please)

I've never had a nice watch before so looking to spend a bit of money, not too much though!

I like the watches where the second hand moves around in one continuous motion rather than a "tick tock" . Is there a name for the way in which the second hand rotates like this?

Any suggestions of some brands that make this kind of watch will be much apreciated

Welcome to the forum I believe you're looking for an automatic / mechanical movement that has the sweeping second hand. What style of watch do you like? Are you seeking a diver style watch, dress watch etc?

I agree that depends how you want to wear it but just go with Omega.
