Previously, the Planet Ocean with the titanium case and titanium bracelet, or titanium case and rubber strap, was available only in the larger 46mm size. Now, I see that it is available in the 42mm size:
This model differs from the regular black PO, in that the bezel has the Liquidmetal technology which bonds the arabics to the ceramic, whereas the regular model has the regular ceramic technology. There is a good description of the LiquedMetal technology on Omega's website:

I had heard that the Ti model would be available in the 42mm size, but I didn't think that it would appear until after Basel 2013.
The regular PO with the steel case and bracelet is $6200. With the Ti case and bracelet, it is $8600. The titanium is grade 5, which is apparently the highest grade. You have to really like Titianium, and admire the LiquidMetal technology, and really want a PO with blue dial and bezel, to justify spending $2400 extra. Still, I have to say that from what I remember, the titanium has a great look to it, slightly darker hue than the stainless steel. Some people prefer the heavier weight of the stainless steel, though.
I loved the 45.5mm model, and that is saying a lot for someone who like smaller watches. I guess it just suits the watch, and does not seem superfluous for the type of watch. Having said that, I think the 42mm is a wonderful size. When I try on the 42mm PO, I get the same feel of it on my wrist as the 40mm Rolex Submariner, except for the thickness. I would normally not be able to justify the thickness, but the PO does have the 8500 movement, and exhibition back, and double the WR resistance of the Sub. Don't get me wrong here, I am not dissing the Sub whatsoever as it is a fantastic watch, I am merely justifying the extra thickness of the PO.
The PO is also available, as I found out, in a 38mm size. Being that I like smaller watches, I decided to try it on last time at the Boutique. It was very odd that I actually found it did not look good at all, considering it's almost 2mm bigger than the midsize Seamaster 300M, which I really like. It just seemed too small and dainty on my wrist, whereas the 42mm was ideal.
For $1400. more than the Rolex Submariner (ND), it would be very difficult for me to justify getting the PO. That is, if I am ever able to afford either.
Can't wait to get a look at the PO, though. I guess the Boutique will have it soon. Should be getting the PO LE Sochi as well, as I think they are out at the Boutiques in Europe already.
Cheers
Carl
