I'm not a huge fan of the orange and blue, but any Auburn University fan will dig it. I think I could really love this in a different color combination - I think I'd like it in black and red much better. The size is great and the exhibition caseback and nicely decorated movement is a treat. I wonder if they will issue it later in other color combos?

Yes, It's a really nice timepiece.
Is there a price?
Is the bezel ceramic and are the numbers lumed?
It may be interesting to see a comparison review of it after a few months against a GMT Master II or similar.

It may be interesting to see a comparison review of it after a few months against a GMT Master II or similar. From what I have read on other forums, scrambling around to get info myself, it will be about the same price as the PO Chrono. Which is about $8200USD, I believe. The Omega Aqua Terra GMT is MSRP $7900, so that sounds about right. I couldn't find any info on the bezel, in any of the descriptions and writeups. To me, it looks like it's metal, but I could be wrong. It might be ceramic, like the Seamaster 300M. Although that is ceramic (not Liquidmetal, though), that is not mentioned on the Omega website description either. Here is a bit more info from a blog, which has more info than I have seen so far: www.ablogtowatch.com/omega-seamaster-planet-ocean-goodplanet-gmt-watch/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+Ablogtowatch+(ABLOGTOWATCH) this is a quote: "Unfortunately, the bezel is not in ceramic or with Omega's famous Liquidmetal. Rather it is a lacquered bezel in blue and orange, and hopefully Omega will eventually offer a ceramic or Liquidmetal version of the GMT bezel." It really is an attractive watch, though, I must say. I do like the orange on the blue dial/bezel. Reminds me of a coral reef somehow. I know that Oris has done a couple of LE diver watches with the blue and orange, so I think that's what the PO reminds me of a bit. Cheers Carl

Cheers Carl Yes, the that shade of blue and orange would look great in actuality. I recall my PO with a similar color orange bezel a few years ago. Many thought it was a bit garish, but I liked it and it is still very identifiable. The prices have certainly risen with Omega. My PO was AUD$3200 in 11/2006.

I'm liking the colour scheme, something a bit different. Maybe not as dressy as the standard, but the PO is a sports watch so can get away with those colours

Okay some information that might be helpful - I looked this model up on the Omega Extranet and when I look at the case details it says this:
STEEL CASE CERAMIC BLUE RING CAL.8605 | 055CC1681675
The bezel information says this:
STEEL BEZ.CERAMIC RING BLUE
Seems little doubt that the bezel is ceramic.
Oh and I agree with Roger - black bezel with red numbers would be killer....
Cheers, Al

I like it. The color combo is very pretty; perhaps too pretty for you guys. Usually, a traditional GMT dial doesn't appeal to me. That extra hand seems weird. I like this one, though...... a lot. KAT

I was thinking how wonderful it would be in Titanium, with the Liquidmetal bezel etc. Personally, no relevance as I would never be able to afford it, but it would be nice to see. Cheers, Carl

Always prefer red on black over orange on black like the PO models. The orange and blue look great together, though. After saying this, I wonder if Omega will go with red if they do offer a black GMT, or if they will stick with the orange on black like the other PO models. The only time they seem to change to red on black is on the LE models, like the Sochi and 007. The PO GMT is a Special Edition, though as in "Good Planet Foundation". I suppose it could go either way. Funny, but to me the Rolex Exp II with the black dial and orange accents seems to work really well. Cheers, Carl
