Owning a vintage watch is great, understanding its place in Horology is MAGNIFICENT!

In my never ending quest to find another unusual or at least interesting part of the Horology jig-saw, I search and scour every where. While looking for pictures of WWI soldiers with a wristwatch I came across the below picture that amused me. Not the fact that 'of course' a British Officer would (indeed must) be kitted out in a uniform by the likes of Saville Row. BUT UNDER it he can wear a Bullet Proof Jacket - it explains it can withstand (resist) a .455 British Revolver Bullet (why would a British Officer need protection from a British Revolver ?LOL?) But also Protects the body from splinters and fragments of shells, spent bullets etc. No mention of the Uniformed Soldier getting them. Just a 'bit' amusing to me. and the catch line: 'Always Correct in Every Detail' - Yes that's 'us BRITS
