Nice score! Probably could have gotten it for 1/3rd the price if you got it before it was pawned.

pawnshopkiller it was a shot in the dark, they do a lot of business on-line which is where I got this one. aerome you are 100% correct, but that business is being done by the pawnbrokers, in this economy I imagine guys like Roscoe are up to their armpits in pawns.

Rolex is a total different game pawn or not.
If you watch timemachines even the watch guru himself will tell you that you can take your Rolex anywhere in the world into any shop and unless the dealer is a Rogue that you will get within 20% of any dealer anywhere.

Wow, that says all worth watching! Great analysis of why we are struck with this sickness for watches. Sent from my DROID RAZR using proboards

Congratulations, Steve This is what it's all about and yet another good purchase was made! Keeping the Submariner and doing this until you find the one that will stay with you is going to work out well Rolex is a total different game pawn or not. If you watch timemachines even the watch guru himself will tell you that you can take your Rolex anywhere in the world into any shop and unless the dealer is a Rogue that you will get within 20% of any dealer anywhere. Thanks for sharing that. An amazing video that was worth every second spent watching it. I'll likely never want anything but Rolex again. Different brands get me tempted but can never maintain the desire to have them. This just goes to show how the Submariner is among the top must have pieces.

How long until this new piece arrives do you think? It should be about a week or so since the holiday is on Monday. I think I'm going to keep this one as long as I can live with 34mm, if not I will look for something else.

Getting to try out the different watches is the best way to decide I tried on a Datejust back in 2010 (or 2009) at a local jewellery store that the owner had it for sale in. As my main watch there could be no way but it was nice though so I totally get where you're coming from regarding the size and seeing how that goes.
