That bundle pack 1J1 looks like a good start.
Everything you need to become a photographer.

They are a good start but it's an expensive way to get started.
I'd do a point and shoot and if he really gets into it go from there. Spend 100..150 and you'll get a good point and shoot. Lenses for the four thirds cameras are expensive.

That's a different Nikon mount. It's not an Olympus 4/3 or micro 4/3 mount.
The only reason I think that's a good starting camera because with the point and shoot you have no control over your ISO exposures and different format of how to shoot example JPEG Vs Raw. Also it's kind of boring shooting with the point and shoot and there's no motivation in shooting with a small point and shoot.
At least he'll feel like someone to talk to for with this camera to learn with

If it's to get him interested in photography I'd go for a good point & shot. Some great models out there & saves him carrying extra lenses etc.

To me, you've got two brands, if he takes off with this hobby: Canon, or Nikon. Personally, I'm a Nikon person. Others swear by Canon. I've been using my D-90 for 2 years, now, and still don't feel the need to upgrade. Maybe next year. I have both Nikon branded lenses and Tamron, with Nikon mounts.Tamron, and other lens co.s also make Canon mount lenses. In most cases, as long as you have a nice amateur/pro camera body, it's the lenses and photographer who make the difference in pic quality. Also Canon often includes a list of upcoming photography courses, at a venue near you, where he can take a short (6-8 week course) to learn all the basics. I'm sure Canon has a similar marketing strategy....

Hey Joe. I'm sorry there was very little time last few days.
The Samsung camera has Android built in so it's really like a 4.8 tablet. Super quick quad core processor. Like with its quickness and power it will drain battery. It's not that good.
The quality is great 21x optical zoom. The effects are great. No voice capability just data. However you can use VoIP apps I believe and as well as Skype.
Hey you know it retails for over $500 but I picked up 4 of these baby's on a super deal here. Lol
Can't go wrong for the price i paid.
