Frost Flowers

I really ought to get myself a camera. All I have is my iphone to take photos with. Here's pictures of some frost flowers in my backyard this morning. These occur when it's freezing outside but the ground is unfrozen. The plant's stems crack under freezing pressure but still pull water up from the ground. The water is pushed out of the microscopic cracks in the stems then freezes when it contacts air. They melt shortly after the sun comes up.

I wouldn't worry about a camera. We have three including my SLR and none have been powered on since June.
