erwin - Yeah, you are right! It is hard to figure out what I'm up to. Heck, even I didn't know exactly what I was looking for! Honestly, on this one, I left myself wide open to options and looked at a lot of brands I was totally unfamiliar with because all I wanted was a more formal "dress watch that'd go well with a suit". I wanted something subdued, but classy and on a strap. I also wanted a watch thin enough to tuck under the shirt / suit coat sleeve. I have a conference coming up at the beginning of March that I've been going to for almost 15 years and I am a session co-chair for a speakers panel. I figured the AP could work for most of the conference except on the day I am up in the front of the room at the main table introducing speakers under the lights. I thought it might get too flashy up there. Searching the fora, I kept coming back to this one watch that was FS then when I finally looked up the specs it hit me that it really met all the criteria I was searching for and at a great price too. The pictures weren't the greatest (marginal camera phone shots) and he had no FB on any of the watch forums, but he did have great FB on an AR-15 forum and I was able to trace back the purchase of the watch to a seller with good FB. On top of that, I negotiated to pay with Paypal and used a credit card for added buyer protection. I guess I'll see on Monday if this was a good deal or not! I'm not a 1000% good at english. But are you talking loudspeakers or people who make a speech ? People making speeches. I am on a organizing committee for a large international conference and I invite people to come to the conference and give a presentation. I have 6 speakers (people) giving presentations on my panel. At the beginning of the session, I have to stand up at the podium and introduce the topic to be discussed and then introduce each speaker as they come up to give their presentations.

I just saw a white dial version pop up and am wondering if I should have gone that route. Both are beautiful IMHO, but I have mainly black dial watches these days. That said, black is more formal and this is for those few days where I have to wear a suit.

That's an awesome watch and no part in that ETA movement has been left untouched by the boffins in white coats at IWC.
Congratulations, you are on a serious roll!!!

Very much looking for some shots when you get it:)

Oh Roger, that is a beautiful look to it and if I may, I think the black dial has more Bauhaus about it with the style of this watch. I think that is the perfect choice, Can't wait to see pictures. What a great week this has been for incomings and its only hump day!

Excellent choice! If I remember, it has a very interesting lug shape, especially at the sides. It also looks stunning on a mesh bracelet!
Cheers, Carl

The newer version has Roman numerals at the 12 and 6 and a little dab of red above the 12.

A little bump in the road this morning. The seller issued me a refund because he can't find the B&Ps. He thinks they are his parent's place out in the suburbs, but didn't want to hold my money while he looked this weekend. They guy is not a power seller, but I like his integrity. Hopefully he can get out there this weekend and round up the rest of the kit.
