Henrik, I am going to have to look at the Explorer II again. I NEED a Rolex in my small collection, and it is my intention to go for a SubC No Date 114060. However, I do like the new Explorer II, I must at least try one on my wrist. I actually did over a year ago, and I was very impressed. Great pics you have here! Cheers, Carl

It is a quite big watch, but the proportions are wonderful - no oversized lugs or crownguards. I love the Sub too . . .dont get that wrong . I have 7 1/2 inch wrists when they are hot, and the ExpII sits perfect. The iPhones wide-angel camera, makes every wrist seem so small The compressed pictures from Photobucket, are not the best quality. But I'll keep trying

Still in love with this one And is it any wonder? When I went to the AD last week, to try out the SubC No Date, I saw they had one in the display case. I think the next time I am in there, I'm gonna try it. I always did kind of like the GMTII, but this model is absolutely stunning. And I love that it has the Triplock crown. Just wish it had the Glidelock clasp as well. Still, once I adjust a bracelet, seems I never really need to readjust it for differences in temperature anyway. It just amazes me how that beautiful blue and black ceramic work so well together, and how they almost blend seamlessly together on that bezel. Never get tired of seeing pics of that one. Cheers, Carl

Still in love with this one Just out of general interest, this is a quote from the Rolex website, about the process of manufacturing the two-colour ceramic bezel: quote> "A technological and aesthetic feat, the new Cerachrom bezel insert is obtained by a unique process developed by Rolex which allows this ceramic component with two distinct colours to be produced as a single piece. It echoes the traditional two-colour bezel of the original GMT-Master and GMT-Master II models. The black colour is achieved via a process that consists of impregnating half the insert with a controlled quantity of a solution of chemical compounds. The solution is added before the sintering stage, during which the ceramic acquires its final properties. In the course of this firing, the ceramic densifies and the added compounds react together as well as with the basic material of the blue Cerachrom insert to create the final black colour. This original and innovative process requires mastery of high-temperature heat treatments to closely control the deformation of the ceramic. The two-colour Cerachrom bezel insert obtained via this process presents a clear cut-off between the two colours. By virtue of being manufactured in a single piece, the insert acquires homogeneous mechanical properties which respond to the quality and reliability demanded of a Rolex product. This process has a patent pending."<quote The more I look at this watch, the more mesmerizing I find it! Black and blue together have never been a favourite combination of mine, but in this case the shade of blue is so perfect, that it is really a work of art in itself. I really wanted the Sub No Date for the simplicity, but this GMTII really has me thinking twice. It is really the only other Rolex that has me doing so. Even the beautiful Yachtmaster I tried didn't have the same effect. Cheers, Carl

Also, the blue really jumps out at you in pictures and sunlight but is very subtle in normal lighting. In low light the bezel looks almost all black Attachments:
