Really enjoyed that film, it was worth every second spent watching it! Breitling has one of the coolest timelines in the world of watches. It's neat to see one of those went to space too, like the Fortis and many brands other than Omega. The Emergency II actually looked decent on those fighter pilots wrists when they mention it. Supplying the RAF with flight instruments and keeping it secret from the Nazi's has to be the coolest moment in all of watch history, hands down. That was my favourite part of the entire video. With those outstanding achievements (they invented the Chronograph basically) it's tough to not want one.

To be honest I get upset when people discredit them. They actually are a brand that matter and invented a lot of stuff that all other brands use today.
A Breitling always looks like a breitling, they don't copy anyone and they COSC 100 percent of their watches.
Furthermore, they never sold out to a luxury brand. Like Rolex, always a private company.

It's a shame more people don't know of these interesting facts, indeed. Some brands boast on the things they were the "first" to do or create when it's basically just them putting their own twist on something that already existed. Breiting did stick to their roots of instruments for professionals. That always has been and always will be the case for them it seems. With this history they could have marketed the CRAP out of it to be even higher up on the luxury pyramid but they kept it original.
Knowing the history of the Chronomat now makes me look at it differently. The crown always hinted a vintage design but it's pretty much unchanged as far as major things go.

This also has me interested to learn more about those Breitling pocket watches. If I was to get a pocket watch it would have to be Breitling now! They must cost a lot though I bet.

Thanks for this wonderful movie. I am actually starting to pay more attention to Breitling once again. Fortunately, one of our local ADs, Time & Gold in Vancouver, is currently constructing a Breitling Boutique, adjacent to their current shop.
I have always been a big fan of their HEQ movements most of all.
