Just wondering if anybody from this forum is going to the JCK show in Las Vegas. They have a certain section of the show called Swiss Watch and that is were some of the higher end brands will be. This will be my third year going and meeting with the brands. At the same time there is another sow called Couture that is going on, but this year it looks like mainly fashion brands with a 2-3 exceptions. Last year Arnold & Son was there, spending time with them is always a pleasure.
Here is a list of the brands in attendance:
Alpina
BALL Watch
BOVET
Carl F. Bucherer
Charriol
Calvin Klein
Cuervo Y Sobrinos
Dior Timepieces
Dubey & Schaldenbrand
Eberhard & Co
EBEL
ESQ Movado
Fendi Timepieces
Frederique Constant
Graham
Hamilton
Hermès
Longines
Louis Monet
Maurice Lacroix
MIDO
Movado
Oris Watches
Perrelet
Rado
Ralph Lauren Watches
RAYMOND WEIL
Swatch Group US
Tissot
Ulysse Nardin
Victorinox Swiss Army
Breitling
Four Seasons
Girard-Perregaux
GUCCI
JEANRICHARD
Tag Heuer
ZENITH

peterd and / or pawnshopkiller might go to something like this since they are in the business. I seem to recall someone else going a couple of years ago, but I can't recall who it was at the moment. Looks like it would be a great place from some wrist candy spotting.

They are set up in the suites of the Mandaly Bay with tons of security. Generally need to be a buyer (shop owner) or have a media pass to make it to the suites and see the goods. Aside from that, you can see TONS of great hardware in Vegas just shopping at the stores. AD's are set up all over the place.

When I was in the market for my last watch, we took a trip to Vegas because of all the ADs! Oh, and the great food, wine and shows, but mainly so I could handle everything in person and see how it looked on the wrist. Before we went, I was leaning heavily towards a VC or GO, but ended up with the AP RO 15400 which wasn't really on my radar when I went to Vegas.

I think it was sheldonsmith that went over there but said it was kind of a bust. We saw more stuff just walking around to the stores.

I was there a few weeks ago and stopped at the Audemars dealer in the Palazzo. I tried to buy a 15400 myself. I made an offer which was comparable to what they can be had for on the grey market, but at the end of the day he didn't take it. It's probably a good thing though, my watch budget has taken enough hits year. But I tell you, that 15400 I tried on is one heck of a watch. Enjoy yours!

The shop in the Palazzo and Ceasars are owned by the same company and I tried to negotiate with them too and they only offered a small discount. I ended up getting a GREAT deal from takuya (Thanh Do) here on the forum. If you decide to go this route, give him a jingle - he'd be hard to beat on price.
