I have just two at the moment. Both from the golden age of quartz and funnily enough though both bought separately they are from the same year and almost same month of production! First up the LCD, the 0349 which is from their very first series of LCD production in early 1976. And then of course the King quartz from early 1976 also.

I'm traveling this week and doing field work so I brought the Monster. I also have this one that was the prize in the first WWF Benefactor giveaway that I won. I have one other at home that has my college symbol on the dial and will add a photo of it on a future post.

Not a great shot but here is my vintage Seiko collection thus far. I just spent a nice afternoon stripping down the LCD to get rid of the dust inside the case and now it looks a million times better. I should have taken a photo of the workings, it's beautifully over engineered and I can see why it's still working perfectly now 38 years after it was made ( and who says Quartz watches don't last! From left to right, oldest to newest are: "O" series ( the very first LCD watch series by Seiko) LCD, King Quartz (both circa 1976) Chariot(1980) and lastly the Moonphase second time zone day date(1988)
