I quite like it and I've been looking at those for a few years.

Always had my eye on this one Chip and if I were to go for one it would be the blue. The black just ends up looking like every other diver, same with the Orange but the blue just kicks it up a notch I feel. I tried on the black version once and it was really well made and super comfortable.

I'd like to see one in person first, but knowing Seiko, I think it will be the right shade of blue.
Never known they had an orange one!

Is this the Sumo? I like it a lot. I agree with Ian, the black may be too similar to other divers. If I had to pick, I'd lean towards the Orange. Every time I look at this watch, though, I want to upgrade to the MM300, even before buying the Sumo. Lol.

I like the MM300 but it's twice the money. Or more.

And having just seen this image I forgot how lovely the Orange is! Here it is on an aftermarket Beads of Rice, poor mans Doxa!

Man I think the blue is still my favourite.
I'm seriously considering one, but at just under 500 I have to give it some thought.

Oops. FOUR times the money! Does anyone know the differences between those two? What do you get for the additional 1500?

Okay... It looks like the MM uses a GS hand assembled movement.

I have seen both in the flesh Chip, the MM is a very different beast, it feels more like a Rolex does and your right it has a GS movement. Having said that for around $500 there is little apart from other Seiko's I feel to beat the Sumo. I am with you as well, it is the blue for me!

I just read it and I think the reviewer got some of his facts wrong. It looks to me like he's quoting spring drive movement accuracy numbers instead of the ones for the mechanical in the watch.
