Hello All, This is my first post, as I am not a true watch aficionado. With that being said, there is a watch I have been hunting for for the better part of five years. The story behind it, is my dad had one for years that he bought when he began scuba diving in the early 80s. He wore it every day, and although it essentially had become a part of him, he wouldn't ever put a better band on it than a black cloth and velcro strap. I still remember the stink the strap radiated. About ten years ago, the watch was claimed by the Yaquina Bay when the crab pot rope got a hold of the crappy velcro watch band. My dad could buy absolutely any watch he wants, but I guess he never saw one he really liked more than the one he lost. My dad is the hardest person in the world to buy a gift for. He buys whatever he wants and leaves nothing for Christmas and birthdays. This might be the one gift that I could get him that he hasn't been able to find and buy himself. I have a couple of months before his next birthday, so I thought I would spread the word online a little and see if I can come up with anything. The watch is a Pulsar Diver, model Y112-6019. If anybody here has one for sale, or knows where I might find one in working order, I would absolutely be interested. The pictures are not mine, they are from google image searches. Thank you in advance for any help you may provide

Welcome! I will keep my eyes out for one. I suggest you check not only your countries ebay site but also other countries. Even if it says global of world wide on your countries ebay site in my experience it's not! Also, if you find one and they dont ship to your country always send them a message and see if they will make an exception, 9 times out of 10 they have done for me!

Welcome to WWF! That's probably going to be a tough find. Keep checking on www.watchrecon.com It pulls from many different fora's classified sections. There are some Pulsars listed but not what you're hunting. Keep searching and we'll try to keep an eye out.

It has been a little over two years since I posted this initially, about seven years since I began looking for this watch. I thought I might refresh the search, and check for any new leads. If anybody here has a line on one of these, I would be forever thankful.

Just waiting for Roger to do his thing... LOL - I looked for sale links or other similar infractions but didn't see any. And honestly, there are a few mods in there that I like! Welcome to the forum @divewatchusa

I knmow I'm responding to an old post - but who knows. I have one of these watches - a Pulsar Y112-6019. I'm the original owner, and bought it when i was 18 as a keen surfer. It's now on a black NATO strap, keeps excellent time, but I believe the thread on the crown is partially stripped, compromising the waterproofness. Still looks great, and keeps better time than almost every watch I've owned before or since. It's in the UK, but can post anywhere at cost.
If you're still out there...
Tony
