With the coming new Year, every WIS will be making plans for a new watch what are your plans? Mine are ordering a watch from Dornblueth and Sohn later on in year, similar to the one wth a PR but raised blue metal numerals at bottom of the article below. This is a HAND MADE watch in germany costing less than the price of a rolex. They decorate movements by hand, make a lot of the movemnt parts by hand etc.. will also engrave your initials / name on movemnt. There is at least a year to two yr waiting list as his output is only about 200 hundred year. www.timezone.com/library/tzints/tzints631925903176093750manufacturer website: www.dornblueth.com/

Nice watch Mamas! I'd like to say what I'm going to buy in 2008, but who knows at this point. Right now, I'd say a white Explorer II and a JLC or GO. Depends on how much of the "watch budget" the baby eats up.

D&S's are very nice.
I have my two Archers incoming in 2008 so aside from that I'm not sure what the future will bring. I would really like to add a Panerai white dial base to the stable, but we'll see.

Nice, mamas!! Dornblueth & Sohne has some great pieces! A watch made by a small company with a correspondingly low output, yet made with the greatest care and highest attention to detail and quality, is special. My GO has, I believe, greatly elevated my appreciation of the true watchmaker's craft and has absolutely pushed my collection tastes to the next level. As for me, I don't know. The watch coffers are empty, empty, empty. So... at this point a new watch in 2008 is up-in-the-air. However, I'm pretty sure that my next watch is going to be of the "dress" variety. I have "sport" and "vintage" but the "dress" genre is lacking. I really like the JLC Reverso (as well as the AMVOX), so something like that is now at the top of the wanted list. -Ben

Still in a holding pattern I want to see what is announced in the Spring. Would also like to add an AT to the stable

I have a few watches on the wish list: Jazzmaster PR, PO, SMP Chrono, and a sinn 103 or 203. Not sure which ones if any will come in 2008 but hopefully something ;D ;D

For me, I can see a Avalon watch in my future but aside from that.. I think the mortgage will be getting most of my financial attention in 2008! I feel pretty excited at the prospect of making a huge dent in that...... if I do get an itch for a expensive-ish watch, one will go from the current stable to afford it I'd say.
