So, she opens up the box for her new Tag Links and says "wow, I didn't have a watch on my list." The "wow" was not a fraggle rock "WOW!!", but a wow like "wow, I didn't realize there were still some rice krispies in the box." A little dissapointing...lol.
Later, she tells me its not that she doesn't want it. First she asks how much it was, and I reply "on sale."..hehe...
Then she says its just that she doesn't want to scratch it or anything because she is sure it was expensive. I tell her not to worry about it, watches do scratch. Its part of the life of a watch.
Anyway, she hints that I can take it back and get something for myself............ which I won't do. HOWEVER, I expect absolutely NO resistance when I pick me up an Omega Seamaster this summer ( though thats not why I got it for her. I just wanted her to have a nice watch. I am tired of looking at that worn out Fossil she keeps putting on her wrist). I am a simple public servant and don't make a lot of money, but if the house I am selling EVER SELLS, I'll be all over it.
I'll pick one up either way cause I do have a watch fund, but I still want my house to sell.
Merry Christmas.

Yeah, I mentioned that in an earlier post. We went into a place. I tried to get her to try one on, but she refused. Told me to get one myself (which she obviously didn't mean) and walked out of the store. Didn't really walk out, just hovered by the door waiting for me....

My wife doesn't understand the "watch thing". I've have tried and tried to get her something decent, but she declines. I think I'll just have to bite the bullet and get her one. I got my wife some earrings for Christmas....She'd prefer a new dishwasher

Not everyone gets it, not everyone likes them, unfortunately. If you do return the Tag maybe next time go for something that doesn't sceam 'swiss luxury' brand wise.. like Sinn make some nice ladies watches, go for something she wont recognise brand wise but is still a fine timepiece. Just an idea......

Good idea Amanda. Thanks, true.
My cousin in law has a Tag that she used to wear. He gave her a rolex date just, but she doesnt like it as much. She doesn't like the fact that if you dont wear it, it stops. She is not a fan of autos. This is probly the same with my wife. She'll get used to it. Ill ask her in month or so. It goes very nicely with her wedding ring....
