I just read an update to that John Mayer Rolex debacle moments ago on TMZ. I'm sure most of you remember he accused a vintage watch dealer of selling him a fake watch. Well, regardless the outcome is below in the article.John Mayer I'm Eating My Words Dismisses 'Fake Rolex' Lawsuit 5/21/2015 7:30 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF John Mayer just got his clock cleaned in a lawsuit in which he claimed he was defrauded by a watch dealer ... because John has not only dismissed his suit ... he now says his claims were false.
TMZ has obtained a joint statement between Mayer and Robert Maron, who sold the singer more than $600,000 worth of Rolex watches back in 2007. Mayer -- a big-time watch collector -- claimed the watches had counterfeit parts and Maron knew it.
Now we've learned Mayer has dismissed his lawsuit and no money or property changed hands. What's more, their joint statement says, "Two years of research restored John Mayer's belief that Bob Maron is an expert on Rolex watches, and confirmed that Bob Maron never sold him a counterfeit watch."
Maron's lawyer, Eric George, said early on he'd beat Mayer in court, but the dismissal is pretty much the same as a jury victory for Maron.
BTW ... Maron is best buds with Charlie Sheen and even had a co-executive producer title on "Anger Management."

Robert Maron's "special" pieces are alarm bell ringers. Unseen pieces do not suddenly appear after 40 years in pristine condition.

Yeah I'm not so sure what was or is going on over there not to mention how this conclusion was formed. I wonder how after all of this time and John being so sure he suddenly retracted.

For watches to be named later! The article said no money or other compensation was made for this agreement, but didn't say future compensation was out of the question! LOL

Something smells fishy in LALA Land. Where did Mayer come up with the charges initially? All of a sudden the parts are good? I'll call bullshyt.

The entire situation really does make you wonder. Hopefully some day we know exactly how this happened.

Regardless to what they claim, we all know when cases magically go away like this there is often a settlement or agreement of sorts reached. Who knows what we'll find out in the future related to this incident.
