I've PM'd a couple of people about this, so sorry for repeating myself. Do automatic Chronographs have the reset function that quartz chronos do. i.e. if you run the chrono and for whatever reason the seconds don't return to zero i.e. maybe they return to the 5 second position, or whatever, is there usually a function (presumably?!) to reset the watch (an automatic's chronograph?) as with a quartz chrono. Thanks Rambler

To my knowledge they don't.

None I've ever seen and I've owned 6 of them, I think. I can't imagine why it would be necessary, as the reset in a mechanical chrono is...well, mechanical.

Thanks Sam and Bruce, So if it's not returning to zero, and returns to another position; it can't be reset? and presumably it needs a watchmaker. Oh well. Just wondering. Well kind of; heard this had happened and wondered if auto chronos had any kind of fail safe. Rambler
