I visited a local Omega AD today in a mall here. Went to try on some clothes so figured I would stop by. As you can imagine I have not been there or to that mall in years. Many renovations and this store moved to a larger location. The Omega, Breitling and other brands are now in a locked portion of the store with seating and a nice VIP feel to it. I not only feel safer leaving my watch laying around as a browse but it's great because of the atmosphere. This one shockingly looked and felt great on me So did this classic Loving the 18K Gold Planet Ocean... Also got myself a copy of the Lifetime magazine "Spectre edition" And just across the display case they had these too, so naturally I had to venture over there and grab this This was a very memorable visit! They didn't have any of the Spectre limited editions in stock (or the Planet Ocean Chrono). They let me browse the master catalog and told me about the Spectre premiere tonight. They're having a special event for everyone that purchased one of the limited pieces, where they'll be invited. Omega seems to be striking back against Rolex with me once again. The steel Planet Oceans aren't my cup of tea, more so that 300M Chrono. I didn't try on the SM300 re-launch. This watch just didn't seem to do it for me in the flesh. That might be because it was the two-tone.

Man, that 18k RG PO GMT is amazing! I think that one looks best on you. Did you see the new blacked out Speedy with the RG accents?

Thanks, Roger! I certainly want to skip a few steps and get a Gold watch now. Maybe 1 more steel watch (GMT Master II) and then I'll save and wait for an 18K piece. It looks and feels so incredible. Wasn't too thick or anything either.
Sadly I didn't. I saw them in the master catalog but the other location had that in stock.
Nothing else got my attention the way that Gold watch did. I LOVE how they even made the rotor solid 18K gold. I never saw new boxes (only the one for the Speedmaster) but it's a great move on their part.

I'm looking at those images for the first time on my laptop and wow... Although my phone has a great 6.1" screen it did no justice to that Planet Ocean picture. The watch may not have the same appeal on the 18K Gold bracelet, that's one thing I didn't like about the Planet Ocean before. A Chronograph seems tempting as my next watch too. Things have changed SO much over the years with Omega (in the best way possible).

A bit late getting to see your thread. Been quite a week for me. Now I have time to catch up.
Wow! I have to agree on that PO. Looks like you had a wonderful time, Rommel! Too bad they didn't have the Spectre, it really is IMO the nicest of the Seamaster 300 models. I was at the Boutique yesterday, and they still have one. They have already sold 7 or 8, especially since the movie has been released. I got an invitation from the Boutique for an advance pre-screening of the Spectre movie. It was on Nov5, a cocktail reception followed by the movie. Unfortunately, I couldn't make it. I think the watch will become a big collector's item.
Thanks for great post and all the pics.

Don't you just love the feeling of a new Bond film being released? Between the anticipation and commercials on TV getting me excited it simply feels great. On Bloomberg Business they had a lengthy article on every item featured in the film: Bloomberg - Every Single Expensive Thing in James Bond’s Spectre, Explained bloom.bg/1McQzmkOther than the Planet Ocean chrono I'll likely end up owning some day not much did it for me like that Gold Planet Ocean.
