Well, last year I bought my first GS, a quartz with white dial. That got me hooked. An almost brand new Cartier was sold to get my SBGR061, the dressy one with the ivory dial and leather strap. That one I did trade to get back my Air-King, which is now for sale. Then, I sold two Omegas, the Z-33 and Mark II in order to fund the GS Hi-Beat. Last week, as my Air-King hasn't sold yet, I sold my Omega Seamaster 300 in order to get the SBGR061 with silver dial which I have had for two weeks. The only watch I have other than my three Grand Seikos is the Omega Speedy Moonwatch. Seems to me as though I have the perfect small collection. The SBGX059 quartz with the white dial I have worn every day to work in the past year. And, in a lot of ways, it continues to be my favourite. For the first time I have a collection in which no watch gets neglected except, unfortunately, the Speedy. My small collection of Grand Seikos: SBGX059 Quartz 37mm: SBGH005 Automatic Hi-Beat 40mm: SBGR051 Automatic 37mm: As I said on the WRUW thread tonight, it looks like I might actually have a new watch that I keep long enough to see it's first service! That might be cheating a bit, as the first service for the Hi-Beat is recommended at three years, and I have already had the watch for a year! Cheers, Carl

HA! I'll start the voting with a "NO"! You just may want to jump up a notch in the Seiko family before that!

A lot can happen wihin two years! If they release anything new you'll never make it to that service!

Haha - Carl, I'd love to see you make it to service time for one of your watches. If not, we may need to suspend your account and ask you to seek professional help for WIS-itice! It's a dangerous disease that can be deadly for the retirement savings account.

The first GS is going to look so cool in 10-20 years with a nice slight patina/change in hue on the dial.

Well, it looks like it will NOT make it to first service. As beautiful a watch as it is, it gets no wrist time. Neither does the silver dial automatic. The only one I am keeping is the white dial quartz.

The only one I am keeping is the white dial quartz. Sad, but to be honest with yourself is the most important thing. And if it helps, that Oris has so much character and style it'd be hard for me to take off too.

No sense hanging onto it under these circumstances. The Oris was a game changer here.

Do we need to move this to the "What watch do you most regret selling" thread? ☺
