The first time I'd Sinned, I ended up with this A year later, I have decided to "Sinn" again Here, I present to you "Sinn 857" Let's see... the first impressions... OK, it is not as big and heavy as the U1 (U1-- 44mm/14+mm; 857-- 43mm/12+mm). It is not made of submarine steel (U1 is) but it is still a tegimented steel (which makes it very hard). 100m WR as opposed to U1's 1000m WR ( so I guess I need to be careful when I am diving (!) from now on) The dial is busier than the U1 dial but not too bad... still legible from various angles... Here is something unique about it, based on its official description (I am still trying to figure this out, as you can tell):The case features a copper sulphate capsule which reacts with moisture to diffuse and absorb humidity in the watch. This capsule may be viewed through a porthole in the left lug, and over time will turn a deep blue as humidity is absorbed. This technology not only provides a more stable environment for the movement, but also prevents fogging of the crystal when going from hot to cold environments or from humid to non-humid conditions (such air conditioned buildings). What really impressed me is the fact that it lost only 3 seconds during the first 24 hours... Remember, it is not 'broken in' yet... oh yes, let's not forget the lume... And this is for all you guys in the big "D" ;D I think Sinn has another winner here Best regards...

Thanks guys... appreciate the comments Sam -- Do you still have your U1? I sold mine but missed it so much that I bought another one... is that crazy or is that crazy? I sold mine. It was a cool watch though. I can't say that I've missed it, but I haven't really missed any watch that I've sold. Do you still have the 2nd one you bought?

Yeah, I still have the second one. I'll try to decide between U1 and 857 in time... and one will probably go away... Interesting that you do not miss them afterwords... I miss a few... but not to the extent that I buy them again... well, obviously I did buy some of them... for ins. Breitling Chrono Avanger -- I bought it, sold it, bought it again, sold it again, and bought it again, and sold it again... yeah, 3 times. The sad thing is that I don't mind buying one again

What a great watch, congrats . I have the 856 and love it. I have also found that my Sinn has been incredibly accurate. One other thing that I really like about Sinn is the service. Watchbuys is really great to deal with, and RGM does the US warranty work, which is a huge plus in my book Hope you enjoy the new one, awesome photos as well That window in the lug intrigues me....any pictures of it? Here is a pic of the copper-sulphate capsule on my 856

Well... here is the latest addition... Sinn U2 ;D Since I am not a big 'bracelet' fan, I have put the rubber strap on right away... here, it looks a lot better IMHO Now, this piece is 44mm (just like the U1) but it is thicker and heavier which is not a bad thing for me. The lume is not as good as the one on the U1 though... then again, I could have taken a better picture of it too... Even though it is 44mm, here it looks somewhat smaller than the 857 (which is 43mm)... Oh yes, the U1 -- 1000m WR vs. the U2 -- 2000m WR. So, I guess that is better, huh?! Now, here is the deal-breaker for me though. The U1 has a flat 3.5mm thick crystal and the U2 has a domed 4.6mm thick crystal. And because of this "domed" crystal, there is an angle you can not really see the dial clearly. Unfortunately, my U1 is at the service center at the moment, so I can not show comparison pictures... but here how it looks next to my 857 which has a flat crystal... Yeah... I have a feeling that this will annoy me more over time... I do not think I will keep this piece for long... but I will try... ;D
