Hi everyone Since this is an international site I thought I'd ask if any of you are from, used to live in or know much about Nova Scotia? I have an offer of a job there and it would mean moving from the UK to take up residence there. What could I expect? What's the situation with watch dealers there? If I do end up going I may decide to sell my new JLC Master RDM to raise extra funds for the move and setting up home there. I'd still have a nice watch but may limit it to a single diver type which may be more up to every day use. If I moved to NS it would be in a rural community (Nr Pictou county?) and I don't think I'd be able to justify a watch simply for dress use! Any advice or opinions? Cheers, Mac.

I'm in Ottawa but I have a few colleagues who live in Nova Scotia. Any idea where in NS? Halifax by chance?

Sorry, don't know anything about Canada except that it'll be a bit chilly, eh!
Bee you tee full JLC. Who knows, maybe you'll offer it up to the group first and maybe I'll jump at the chance!

If it happened it would be somewhere around the Welsford area? I am considering selling the JLC and would be looking for around the £2,800 mark? Trouble is you guys across the pond get better prices and pay less tax than here in the UK so I doubt you'd be interested at that price. It is only a couple of months old, been worn only a handful of times & and has the latest 938 movement with display back. PM if you are. Cheers guys

Mac,
I've never lived there, but I did spend 10 days there a few years ago. Pretty country. Halifax is nice, but I froze my a** off - and - it was July. I can only imagine what that North Atlantic wind is like in the winter.
Interesting historical stuff. Louisbourg is cool; the Cabot Trail, Peggy's Cove; Digby; boating. Great seafood. I've never been to Scotland, but I understand that is why the Scots liked to emigrate to Nova Scotia. Also a a French/Acadian influence. The English and French fought over the place for a long time and it changed hands quite a bit.
