OK...so I've been expecting a few packages. A few books and a little something from avalon. I was off from work yesterday and when the doorbell rang I got all excited (please reference "Pavlov's Dog") 'cause I knew it was the postman. Sure enough. The postman. But the package wasn't what I was expecting. Right after I got my GO Sport EVO last December, I had also ordered their DVD and magazine from their web site. Then...I promptly forgot about it. Well, it arrived yesterday. This is a cool 30-minute film, "Handmade in Germany," and it's amazing how much work goes into actually making the tools and such - long before anyone ever gets down to putting a watch together. Then it shows how a handmade watch gets done - from manufacture to decoration This DVD is a freebie, folks. Can't beat free. Now, I'm partial to "Glass-hoo-tah Oh-reeg-ee-nahl" and consider them as some of the finest watches out there, but even if you don't have a GO, or even like them, the film is worth seeing for anyone interested in how watches actually get made. -Ben

Sounds like a very interesting video, Ben. Interesting to know the true pronunciation of Glashutte as "Glass-hoo-ta." I always said "Glass-shoot."

Just go to the GO website and order one. Yeah...I love the pronunciation the narrator used (with the emphasis on the second syllable). I always pronounced it the same as you. -Ben

The DVD is fantastic. I've had it for a at least a year now (maybe more) and it really does show what goes into the GO's in great detail. BTW on the pronunciation....I have a friend here who has a German background, so even before I bought my GO I asked him what the right way to say it was. His version was the same as on the DVD. Now let's not get into how Jaeger LeCoultre is pronounced! 99% of people I've heard say it, don't say it correctly. ;D
