Although I recognize AP as being a top brand, very few of their watches appeal to me. The Royal Oak is not among them (it looks way to 70's for me - I mean that in a bad way too LOL!). Typically if an AP does hit my tastes, it's a Jules Audemars model of some sort. This time no exception, and although I typically find perpetuals to be too cluttered, this one is just exceptional IMO.... I think the fact that they have moved the sub-dials very close to the centre helps it feel less cluttered than the average perpetual does. Probably well outside my price range, but certainly well done! I have to say on the whole I've found Basel to be a bit lacking this year......hopefully SIHH is better!

Agreed it's one of their better ones (IMO) but still not anything I'd plunk down my loonies for.

Mate, I'd want a watch to be pretty special to get rid of my loonies too..... ..... we are talking about money, aren't we? Back on topic... I'm not a fan of the ROO either, but this model looks rather nice. The brushed blue dial would be pretty stunning I'm sure, but something doesn't sit right with the case for me. Almost like the lugs are too long? I dunno... that crown is a bit hmmm.... too.
