That brings up an interesting point. Considering that the watches we love are Veblen goods, would we still want them if they... grew on trees?

Allow me to answer that, Chip. Yes! Lol. For me I think a big part of the Rolex success was due to the fact they secured some of (if not) the best designs ever created. The appeal would still somehow be there for me, especially compared to some of the crap (subjective / my opinion) other companies produce for similar prices. That being said, the day you find some Daytona or Deep-Sea seeds, please let me know!

Interesting question. I think if the prices were cheap, yeah I still would. I own several frugals because I like the looks so no reason I wouldn't still want them at cheaper prices in my mind.
