I had only seen photos in books before you got this one. Definitely not common place. It is a bit weird, I got it because I had never seen anything like it before. The red was the really selling point, it wasn't until afterwards that I realised that the dial was not typical like the rest. |

It really is a very special looking piece. I love that dial, and the way the patina has developed. Great to have found that info! There is a term for that hue - Tropical maybe? - but regardless of its rarity it is a very special piece. I am sure you will cherish that one!
