Looks like this new hi-beat is limited to 350 pieces. I like the dial and lumed dial. Need to see more pics to get a feel for the case and hands. Maybe CHIP can get us some better pics when he visits GS.

Not sure how I feel about this one either. Although the dial is gorgeous. I saw a couple of GS Hi-Beat divers at the local AD. Really big, kind of showy, not really my style. I ran across these 20th Anniversary Limited Edition Caliber 9s. Much more appealing to me. This also available in gold and platinum: This is the review on Monochrome: monochrome-watches.com/grand-seiko-high-beat-36000-calibre-9s-20th-anniversary-sbgh265-sbgh266-sbgh267-baselworld-2018-price/There are really a lot of new GS models, including a Quartz model which I love the SBGT241, which celebrates the 25th Anniversary of the quartz 9F movement. Love the retro day-date and the gorgeous grains of rice bracelet: In my eyes, likely the most beautiful of all the GS models. And I am a huge fan of the 9F quartz movement, and have not minded paying a premium for it. That said, there is a limit on how much I am willing to spend on such a movement, and this model is $5000USD which, at today's exchange rate is almost $6500CAD. I don't know if I will ever get to even see this model anyway. There is a very limited collection at local AD, although I have been pleasantly surprised in the past. There are so many new GS models out now, I am starting to get confused! Cheers, Carl
