They were quite a bit puzzled by it all.
A Darren called to inquire about a watch for a Roger, who can’t pick it up, but a guy named Chip can.
They weren’t even sure this was real lol

They were quite a bit puzzled by it all. A Darren called to inquire about a watch for a Roger, who can’t pick it up, but a guy named Chip can. They weren’t even sure this was real lol Sneaky Americans! When they tried to get you to put your name on the warranty card and then wrote mine in and they were even more confused, did you shout “ ‘Merica “. LOL |

Then I thought, wait until you hear what I have to say about who will be buying etc etc. I'm just so pleased it all went well. |

It took them 8 or 9 days to confirm the wire was received and I kept my mouth shut about who was picking it up until the last minute! |

 Wow! A remarkable watch indeed. Made even more so by Darren and Chip involved in the whole thing. I know you were on the lookout for a special bronze piece for a long time. This is gorgeous, the blue and bronze together is a fantastic combination. Truly one of the nicest bronze watches to be had. Well, I know you will always treasure this one. I am sincerely happy for you Roger. And gratified to be a part of WWF along with You, Chip and Darren. Perhaps the forum is not active always as we would like, but the special people, gestures and efforts such as this more than compensate. So true - both carl ‘s post and James’ email. It was epic teamwork and fortunate timing combined that made this a success story. I’m grateful beyond words. I’m looking into flights on Monday when I get back from the mountains to see if Laurie and I can come down for the timelessluxwatches event on October 13 and pick it up in person. If so, I’m hoping Robb, aquajoe, aerome, carbon6, and any others who want to join in can make it for a GTG. |
